Shaynee K. Fanara is recognized as an experienced trial attorney licensed in Florida and Michigan, with a diverse legal career spanning more than 35 years. In her current role as General Counsel at Vengroff Williams, Shaynee manages the process of high-profile medical subrogation cases. Her experience includes managing medical subrogation plan language for clients, overseeing cases, coordinating with paralegals and investigators, negotiating settlements, appearing in mediations and arbitrations.
Shaynee has dedicated years of legal service to the public sector. In her eight years as Chief Assistant Prosecutor for Charlevoix County, Michigan, Shaynee’s responsibilities included handling a broad range of cases, from search and arrest warrants to motions, hearings, trials, and appeals. Specializing in felony cases, she achieved an unprecedented conviction rate in RICO, drug, arson, and child victim cases. As County Attorney for Emmet County, Michigan for three years, Shaynee engaged in creative trial techniques specifically tailored to the juvenile and probate court dockets and actively participated in complex multi-county litigation initiatives.
Prior to her employment with Vengroff Williams, Shaynee operated a private practice, Shaynee K. Fanara, Attorney at Law, overseeing cases spanning civil and criminal law.
Beyond her legal career, Shaynee is a former member of the Charlevoix County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team, Marine Patrol, Resort Bear Creek Fire Department, and North Port Police Department, demonstrating her extensive commitment to public service.
Shaynee earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She lives in Florida with her husband and two sons.

Over the years, she evolved into an esteemed leader, achieving the positions of Manager of Operations and Senior Subrogation Attorney.
Residing in Sarasota with her husband and son, Nicole is deeply rooted in the local community. Beyond professional endeavors, Nicole’s life outside Vengroff Williams is a tapestry of passions and community engagement. Ballet remains a constant source of joy and discipline, reflecting her dedication to continuous personal growth. Her volunteer work with Satchels Last Resort, an animal sanctuary, and mentoring as a Big Sister with “Big Brothers, Big Sisters” align with her values of compassion and community impact.
